Strong winds expected Friday in the area

Environment Canada says we can expect strong winds late Friday morning into the evening.

The weather agency has issued a special weather statement.

Officials say a low-pressure system moving across the northeast is bringing strong southwesterly winds.

Wind gusts up to 70 or 90 km/h are possible.
