Summer Cruise series going back to the 80s
There’s no word if the Chief Commanda II has been outfitted with a flux capacitor, but you’ll have a chance to revisit the 80s on board the Lake Nipissing cruise ship this summer.
The Capitol Centre’s Summer Cruise Season is expanding to four musical excursions.
They’ve added an 80s Cruise with Birds of a Feather, on Friday, July 10.

“The community response has been fantastic for our Summer Cruise Series with all three cruises selling out last season,” says Dan Misturada, Director of Programming at the Capitol Centre. “Based on feedback for an additional cruise with a different theme, we are ecstatic to be adding an 80s cruise this year to the lineup. We look forward to celebrating a great night of 80s music and seeing everyone’s best retro outfits.”
Returning cruises include:
- Classic Rock Cruise with Blue Screw- Friday, July 24
- Country Cruise with The County- Friday, August 7
- Blues Cruise with The Jesse Thomas Band- Friday, September 4
All four cruises will set sail at 7 pm.
Tickets go on sale at noon Thursday, March 11.
They’re available for each individual cruise, or there’s a 4-cruise package.
