Supporting local charities with a holiday smile cookie

Holiday smile cookies are back next week (Nov.17-23) at Tim Hortons.

Proceeds from the sale of white-chocolate sugar cookies with red and green sprinkles and an icing smile are going to several area groups.

In North Bay, the cookie campaign is supporting the North Bay Food Bank.

Proceeds in Mattawa are going to Algonquin Nursing Home while Wolves Den is supporting The Gathering Place.

Almaguin Highlands Secondary School is benefiting in Burk’s Falls while in West Nipissing, cookie sales are supporting the Sturgeon Falls Volunteer Toy Drive.

$10.7 million was raised across Canada last year for hundreds of charities and community groups, including Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

The North Bay Food Bank received over $37,500 thanks to last year’s holiday smile cookie campaign.
