Thornley, Patricia Ann

Passed away at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice on September 28th, 2025 at the age of 89 years. Patricia was born Plymouth England and immigrated to Canada after the war with her family.
Pat was the wife of the late John Thornley, mother of Christine (Brian Harrison), John (Leslie), Karen (Dan Guilfoyle), Joanne (Rod Stamler) and predeceased by son Paul (Lisa-surviving). Survived by nine grandchildren Lindsay, Jennifer, Jessica, Jamie, Mathew, Megan, Adam, Michael, David and five great grandchildren Amy, Charlotte, Lincoln, Jack and Madeleine. Also left to mourn is her sister Eileen Buttenham and many nieces and nephews.
Pat had many wonderful talents that she liked to share with friends and family such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, petit point, cross stitch and baking. She also spent many years curling and playing tennis.
The family would like to thank all her PSW’s especially Donna for her kindness and compassion for mom. Also all the staff at Nipissing Serenity Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion they gave to Patricia during her stay.
Pat had a wonderful circle of friends at the Corpus Christi apartments where she loved all her activities and conversations and spent lots of time doing puzzles, playing games and spending countless hours with a wonderful coffee group.
Cremation has taken place. Internment will be held at a later date in the family plot at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Toronto.
Donations to the North Bay Humane Society or the Nipissing Serenity Hospice in memory of Patricia will be gratefully acknowledged.
