Threats of a Concealed Weapon

A local man has been charged in connection with an incident at a local not-for-profit support services organization involving uttering threats.
On August 29, police responded to a call regarding the accused uttering threats, claiming to have a concealed weapon. The accused had attended the organization and was engaging in prohibited activity, which resulted in staff asking him to leave the property. Afterwards, the accused made multiple threats, claiming to be in possession of a concealed weapon. NBPS officers arrived, and located the accused who failed to comply with repeated directions, and made motions consistent with having a concealed weapon. A Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) was deployed, and the accused was subsequently placed under arrest.
The accused, Wayne Duck, 25-year-old, male, of North Bay, has been charged with the following offences:
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
