Three-vehicle collision results in driver facing impaired charge

A 40-year-old driver from Petawawa has been charged with impaired driving after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 17 near Corbeil Friday evening.
The OPP says emergency crews responded to the collision at about 6 pm, with the investigation determining a westbound vehicle struck two others that were eastbound.
Provincial police say after suspecting alcohol was consumed, officers arrested the driver and brought him to city police headquarters for further testing.
Along with a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, the OPP says the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused was released with a Jan. 20 court appearance.
