Four new wildland fires were confirmed in the Northeast Region on Sunday.  

Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services says the third fire of the season in the North Bay District is 1.3 hectares in size and is located on Elliot Island, on the French River.  

As of Sunday, it was listed as under control.

On Saturday, aerial crews worked with one Fire Ranger crew and local firefighters on a 0.5 hectare fire just west of North Bay, near Little Lakes Road and north of Hwy 17.

It’s listed as out.  

The fire hazard is listed as moderate to high across the Northeast Region.
