TOMS, Marlene
Marlene Diane Toms passed away peacefully on December 2nd, 2024 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Ron Toms. Loving mother to Erin (Tyler) Lambert, Micheline Toms (Ryan Moore). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jesse & Kim Lambert, Jonah Lambert (Maddie), Madison Moore, and great-grandson Beau Lambert. Survived by her sisters Linda Hardy of Toronto and Tammy Gillard (Bruce Green) of Loring.
Marlene was born in Toronto where she danced thru her younger years. She was married to Ron and had their two daughters. She spent her professional career at Brown & Collett until she retired. Marlene spent much of her free time at their cottage in Loring, Lake Memesagamesing hunting, fishing, and boating. Upon retirement, Marlene moved to Loring and spent much of her retirement doing the same. Marlene joined the Port Loring Legion, Seniors Bridge Club and enjoyed her time playing cards and socializing with friends. Marlene enjoyed spending time with her family. Marelene was a strong independent woman who was always there to assist, give advice or lend a hand.
Marlene was an avid card player and will be missed by the Legion Crib players as well as her special group of friends, The Bridge Babes; Betty Webb, Alexandra Cook, Carol Webb and Tana Arthurs.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Barry & Alexandra Cook and Tammy & Bruce Green for their constant support and assistance during this difficult time.
As per Marlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
