Traffic stop in North Bay leads to four arrests

The North Bay Police Service says just before 12:30 am Tuesday, officers stopped a vehicle after being alerted to a suspended driver.
They say during an interaction with the driver, a handgun was spotted on the floor of the vehicle.
Additional officers attended, and police say all four occupants were taken into custody without incident.
“Technology like Automated Licence Plate Readers enhances our ability to identify and intercept dangerous offenders before they can cause further harm,” says Inspector Scott McFarlane, North Bay Police Service. “This was excellent work by our patrol officers, who acted quickly, managed a high-risk situation professionally, and ensured the safety of the community and everyone involved.”
Over 20 charges were laid, with all four accused facing counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Three face charges of possession of a dangerous weapon.
One person was released on an undertaking with a future court date while the other three were held for a bail hearing.
