Tri Shaw Bike Initiative

Cassellholme is aiming to enhance the lives of its residents by purchasing a Tri-Shaw bike. The goal of their Giving Tuesday fundraiser is to raise $20,000 by December 31.

Officials at the long-term care home believe that the specially designed three-wheeled bicycle will offer residents opportunities for social interaction, physical activity, and a change of scenery.

“We believe that the Tri-Shaw Bike will significantly enrich the lives of our residents by providing them with the freedom to explore and experience the beauty of our surroundings,” says Mandy Gilchrist, Activity Manager. “This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering a vibrant and engaging environment for everyone at Cassellholme.”

Fundraising efforts are already underway, with about 20% of the total goal received, primarily through memorial donations from family members of former residents.

“We are calling on the generosity of our community members, local businesses, and supporters to help us reach this important milestone,” says Gilchrist.
