Troops Playoff Schedule Set
The North Bay Battalion will open its best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Kingston Frontenacs at home at 7 p.m. Thursday, the Ontario Hockey League club announced Sunday night.
The Battalion finished first in the Central Division and second in the conference, while Kingston was fourth in the East Division and seventh in the conference.
The clubs meet in the playoffs for the fifth time and the fourth since the Battalion relocated to North Bay from Brampton in 2013. Before that, the Battalion defeated Kingston in seven games in a 2010 quarterfinal. North Bay swept the Frontenacs in a 2015 quarterfinal, lost a 2018 quarterfinal in five games and won a 2022 semifinal in five games.
