A 30-year-old from North Bay and a 24-year-old from London are facing drug trafficking charges after a city police street crime unit investigation.
The North Bay Police Service says around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday (Apr. 22), officers attended a parked car in the Manitou St. area where both accused were standing.
Police say when officers arrived both men attempted to flee on foot, and after a brief chase, were arrested without incident.

The service says a search led to police seized about $80,000 worth of drugs, including 344 grams of Fentanyl, 110 grams of Cocaine, as well as some dilauded and Percocet pills. Over $5,300 in cash was also found.

“Dangerous drugs being brought into our community pose a serious threat, and recent public health warnings underscore the ongoing risks,” said Insp. Scott McFarlane. “Working alongside our policing partners, we continue to take coordinated action and we remain committed to identifying and disrupting those responsible. Community cooperation and support are critical throughout these investigations, as community safety is a shared responsibility.”
City police say the OPP helped with the investigation.
The accused and co-accused were held pending a bail hearing.
