Two Charged with Drug Trafficking After Traffic Stop
The North Bay Police Service arrested and charged a 26-year-old female and a 39-year-old male for drug trafficking after a traffic stop on August 17, 2024.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on August 17, 2024, members of the North Bay Police Service conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle travelling in the 300-block of Lakeshore Drive, North Bay. Accused GATES-HEALEY, who was driving the vehicle, was found to be under license suspension. As part of a search of the vehicle, police located a quantity of drugs and drug trafficking equipment. Both accused were arrested and charged.
The accused in this incident are:
Zoe Edenbrook GATES-HEALEY, female, age 26, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- Two counts of Driving while under suspension
Andrew Reginald THERIAULT, male, age 39, of Timmins, Ontario, who is charged with:
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Failure to comply with release order
Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 35 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Four (4) suspected hydromorphone pills
- Drug trafficking equipment
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $7,000.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
