Two motorists charged with stunt driving within four hours of each other on Hwy 63
North Bay OPP laid two stunt driving charges within four hours of each other on Highway 63 near Redbridge last Thursday.
Provincial police say one vehicle was clocked going 57 km/h over the posted 80 km/h speed limit, while the other was travelling 55 km/h over the limit.
Both drivers were charged, received immediate 30-day driver’s licence suspensions, and had their vehicles impounded for 14 days.
“Speeding reduces reaction time, increases stopping distance, and remains a leading factor in fatal and serious injury collisions,” states a social media post by the OPP. “Slow down. The few minutes you save aren’t worth the risk.”
