Two new councillors for Callander
Callander has added two new councillors.
At a special meeting on Monday night, former municipal employee and councillor Linda Alkins was voted in in round one.
Round two saw former Callander and North Bay councillor Daryl Vaillancourt voted in.
Six people applied for the vacancies after the resignations of former Mayor Robb Noon and councillor Irene Smit, with Jordy Carr moving up to take over as mayor.
Bylaws installing Alkins and Vaillancourt as councillors for the rest of the term will be voted on at the next meeting on March 24.
The next municipal election is coming up in October.
