North Bay Police Arrest Male for Impaired and Theft of Motor Vehicle
Members of the North Bay Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male as for driving while impaired and theft of a motor vehicle.
On August 19, 2024, the victim, who is a resident of Sudbury, reported his vehicle stolen to the Greater Sudbury Police Service. On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, members of the North Bay Police Service received information that the vehicle was seen in North Bay on Tuesday August 20, 2024.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. that same day, a member of the North Bay Police Service observed the vehicle travelling in the 100-block of Massey Drive. The member followed the vehicle until it stopped at a convenience store in the 500-block of Lakeshore Drive. Members of the North Bay Police Service located the accused in the driver’s seat, exhibiting signs of intoxication. The accused was then arrested and charged.
The accused in this incident is Anthony GOSSELIN, male, age 22, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- One count of Operation while impaired
- One count of Theft Over $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle
- One count of Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- One count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is set to appear before the court on September 3, 2024.
