Anya Lostun
September 12, 1989 - September 4, 2024
Anya D. Lostun born in Timmins Ontario, and yes, a bouncing 9lb 3 ½ oz. From that day- all she knew was love and giving happiness.
Anya's loves of her life were her daughters Aubree Vandorp (10), Elly Burton (7) and her stepdaughter Gracie Burton (14). She loved the 3 girls with all her heart and missed them every moment of every day when she was not with them.
Those that knew Anya know that her heart was so big, loving, caring and had so much love to give you could feel it when you breathed. Anya was always thinking of others and never her self.
She could bring a smile to your face in a second with that witty twisted humour of hers, a hug to make your troubles go away and tell you how beautiful of a soul you are- because you are.
Anya had so many people in her life that loved her and all were important to her, you know who you are, yes it's you!!
Dad, Sacha Lostun and her stepmother Sue and of course her mom Kate Farrell- so any complaints about the obit- take it up with my union rep.
People that loved Anya that were close to her are her cousin Jasmine Faries and her children Nyla and Kaelan, cousin Anthony and Corey, Uncle Mick Faries, Derrick Lajoie(bro ), Mike Vandorp(Aubrees Dad), Anyas best friends for over 25 years Kelcy Vaillancourt, Cat Senecal and Steph Foster- yes all 4 gave me grey hair growing up hanging out/living at our house on Galt St. If I forgot anyone-sorry.
Anya was in social work and worked here in North Bay with community living for 9 years and loved the residents so much, she couldn't wait to go to work.
But it was Johnathan that changed her life. She cared for him for a couple years- you can tell when she had Johnathan as she drove down the street with the tunes cranked. Aubree and Elly loved Johnathan as much as Anya because he was family.
Working full time as a waitress at Wacky Wings and then exclusively homeschooling her girls during covid... but she did it. She then left there to work at the Match Gateway Casinos- and they have the best food in town-except when they took mashed potatoes off the menu—Anya called me up as she was so upset about that (probably because it was a staple food for her when at work).
Well my beautiful darling daughter, we say goodbye to you on Monday September 9th from 11am until 1pm at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd.
There will be no service. Please avoid sending flowers and dress up in jeans and a sweatshirt as this is what Anya would want.
Anya loved to foster dogs and would have wanted donations given to All Heart Pet Rescue in Powassan. Please help those animals. Bailey her dog did not leave her side -such a sweet dog.
Following the visitation, a celebration of Anya's life at Randy and my home exclusively to peeps who loved her- family and close friends only.
