ROBERT (BOB) Marcel Joseph LAJOIE
On Sept 14th, 2024, at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice the world said goodbye to Robert (Bob) Marcel Joseph Lajoie for the last time at 3:37 pm. What a man he was, a great husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was so well respected and easy to love…few can follow in his footsteps. Bob is being reunited with his wife of 69 years Jeannine (Devost) deceased 2020 and leaves behind his oldest son Reg (Rhoma), his only daughter Dianne Lajoie-Denis (Guy), and his youngest son Marc (Carol). Also left to mourn are his grandchildren Derrik, Leanne, Patrick and Nicholas as well as his great grandchildren Darius, Sonny and Ivy.
He was born in Quebec City on Sept 26th, 1931. He was predeceased by his parents Francois Xavier Lajoie and Clara Paradis. Survived and predeceased by several brothers and sisters and by his son in law Cameron Fielding (2003).
A sales representative for Re/Max Realty for over 25 years and was also the owner of Shady Maple Villa (1969) on Lakeshore Dr. which to this day remains in the family.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, snowmobiling and camping but most of all enjoyed being with his family and children.
A huge thank you to Dr Reitzel for his compassionate care and the staff on B3 at NBRHC. Although not a long stay, thank you to the wonderful people at The Nipissing Serenity Hospice where he was granted his last wish.
Cremation has taken place and will rest at All Saints Mausoleum where he will be reunited with his wife.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Nipissing Serenity Hospice a place that meant so much to him.
