Walk, Run, Make a Difference

Join the 18th Annual Our Hospital Walk/Run and Support our Community’s Local Healthcare

The 18th Annual Our Hospital Walk/Run is almost here - Sunday, September 29th! With the weather forecast looking beautiful, it’s shaping up to be the perfect day to walk and/or run, while supporting our community’s local healthcare.

Every year, Our Hospital Walk/Run makes a tremendous impact on our local Health Centre. Over the last 18 years, our community has raised $1.7 million, investing in exceptional healthcare, close to home. Some notable projects supported by Our Hospital Walk/Run include, digital mammography machines, minimally invasive surgical equipment, CT scanners, the MRI, Renal Unit expansion project, Central Fetal Monitoring System for Labour & Delivery, the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Unit, and so much more!

This year, the funds raised from the Our Hospital Walk/Run are supporting the upgrade of NBRHC’s Nuclear Medicine Department, helping purchase two new SPECT/CT machines.

SPECT/CT is a powerful tool for diagnosing cardiac conditions through Stress Tests, infections, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.

And beyond the impact on our hospital, Our Hospital Walk/Run is also about coming together as families, friends and colleagues to having fun, build comradery and celebrate our community. We are inspired and grateful for the enthusiasm our participants bring every year!

So, if you’ve already registered – THANK YOU! And if you haven’t – what are you waiting for?!?! Tie those laces, grab a friend, and REGISTER NOW to be a part of something special.

Please keep your dogs safe at home to ensure the safety of all participants and our four-legged friends.

I can’t wait to see you at Our Hospital Walk/Run Sunday, September 29th!
