BATTISTONI (née Kernohan) Alison

With heavy hearts, the family of Alison Battistoni (née Kernohan) announces her peaceful passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday October 15, 2024.

Alison was born in Northern Ireland and grew up in Sudbury, Ontario, where she met and fell in love with her husband, David Battistoni. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their family and sharing 40 years of marriage. Alison was a devoted wife and loving mother to Keith Battistoni (Dawn) and Erin Giroux (Eric), and a proud grandmother to Jackson, Eddie, Ariya, and Autumn, whose visits always brightened her days.

Alison was the cherished daughter of the late James and Anne Kernohan and daughter-in-law of the late Virginio and Evelyn Battistoni. She was a beloved sister to Jeremy Kernohan (Karen), Suzanne Kernohan (Richard), and Allan Kernohan, with whom she shared a strong and loving bond that extended to their families.

For over 14 years, Alison and David lived their dream on a horse farm in Chisholm, Ontario, where Alison’s lifelong passion for horses and her love for animals flourished. A true animal lover, she had a heart that welcomed every creature in need. She also shared her time and talents working alongside David at their family business, North Bay Auto Service.

Alison was a talented artist and lived a simple life, finding joy in the small pleasures of everyday moments. Known for her strength, resilience, and determination, Alison will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, animals, and the life she built with her husband.

A Celebration of Alison's Life will take place at Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday, October 19th from 1:00–3:00 pm, with prayers and stories shared at 2:00 pm. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to CaraHELLPS (carahellps.com), an organization close to their hearts.
