Santa Claus parade winners announced
Hundreds of people lined the North Bay Santa Claus parade route on Sunday with the city announcing this year’s float award winners.
Best overall float honours go to Century 21 Blue Sky Region.
École Publique Héritage won best spirit.
Other winners include:
- Hospitality industry: 1st – Travelling Toes Spa & Cosmetics by Nurse Danielle, 2nd – Wacky Wings Eatery & Beverage Co.
- Service groups or organizations: 1st – Lavigne Vezeau Law Office, 2nd – North Bay Air Cadets
- Elementary school: 1st – École St. Raymond, 2nd – École Publique Héritage
- Post-secondary school: 1st – Canadore College, 2nd – Nipissing University
- Not-for-profit group: 1st – North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre, 2nd – OUTLoud North Bay
- Secondary school: 1st – Chippewa Secondary School
- Commercial/Industrial Group: 1st – Century 21 Blue Sky Region, 2nd – Redpath Canada Ltd.
- Sports group: 1st – Apollo Gymnastics, 2nd – North Bay Trappers
- Bands: 1st – The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears Marching Band
- Retail: 1st – Talize
This year’s theme was Country Christmas.
Officials with the city say they’re already looking forward to next year’s parade, which will mark North Bay’s 100th anniversary.
