Indigenous Hub to Receive $1.3 Million
Model of Care Innovation Fund championing local innovation
Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing announced that the Ontario government is connecting more people to faster, more convenient care in Nipissing by investing $1,312,850 through the Models of Care Innovation Fund to support the North Bay Indigenous Hub. Funding will create easier pathways to flourishing health and well-being for Indigenous People.
“The Models of Care Innovation Fund is the province’s new $40 million fund focused on championing local innovation to provide more people with the right care, in the right place,” said MPP Vic Fedeli. “This fund supports healthcare partners like the North Bay Indigenous Hub find new ways to maximize the skills and expertise of their workforce to connect our community to better services and care.”

This will allow us to make necessary changes to create culturally safe health care and build meaningful pathways for Indigenous people of North Bay.
