North Bay Man Charged with Vehicle Theft

A 43-year-old North Bay man is facing charges after city police say a vehicle was stolen last Wednesday night.

The North Bay Police Service says at approximately 11:30 pm on Nov. 25 a motorist left their vehicle running outside of a business on Main Street East and while the vehicle was unattended, a person got in and drove off.

The man was located about three hours later at a hotel on Seymour Street and arrested.

He’s facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle, operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code and fail to comply with a probation order.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
