Another call for public art submissions

Future downtown bike lockers are the latest focus for public art in the community.  

The City of North Bay, the North Bay Public Art Advisory Committee and Creative Industries are calling on creative minds to make a submission by Aug. 30 (4:30 pm).  

This call is open to all artists and designers, regardless of experience level, with a strong connection to North Bay.  

Officials are looking for digitally created images, high-quality photographs or scans of original artwork.  

Digital submissions will be used to vinyl wrap future bike lockers at the Main Transit Terminal and Shabogesic Beach.  

Five successful submissions will be selected with the successful applicants receiving a $700 artist fee.  

Online application forms can be found at the city’s website.  

Past public art projects have included traffic boxes (pictured above) and banners on the Lakeshore overpass (pictured below).
