Emergency Response Team Conducting Training Throughout City

The North Bay Police Service is advising the public that there will be Emergency Response Team (ERT) training throughout this week at various locations throughout the city.

Members of the public should not be alarmed if they see an increased police presence in different areas of North Bay, including Memorial Gardens, E.W. Norman School and the Government Dock. The Service’s Emergency Response Team will be conducting training exercises in these locations.

The training will not result in the closure of any streets or the disruption of daily activities for members of the public.

The North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations. Members of the North Bay Police Service ERT receive regular training to effectively respond to all manner of high-risk incidents.
