Lake effect snow squalls today and tonight. Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations of 10 to 25 cm. Poor visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow, continuing through this evening.

Lake effect snow squalls off Georgian Bay are expected today as a low pressure system moves across northern Ontario, enhancing snowfall. These snow squalls will shift south of the area tonight.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Road closures are possible.
