(UPDATE) Nipissing and part-time faculty reach tentative agreement
Nipissing University and the Contract Academic Staff Bargaining Unit (CASBU) say they have reached a tentative agreement involving part-time faculty.
This after mediated talks on Friday.
Officials say as a result, a strike has been averted and all classes will continue as scheduled on Monday with no disruption.

Dr. Carole Richardson, Provost and Vice-President, Academic and Laura Killam, Chief Negotiator, CASBU provided the update in a letter to the Nipissing community.
“We want to acknowledge the efforts and contributions of both bargaining teams and look forward to finalizing the agreement through ratification votes over the next few weeks,” they write.
