Velma Margrate Fell
It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of our Mother Velma Margrate Fell.
After a brief illness Velma passed quietly and peacefully at NBRHC on Tuesday September 1, 2026, in her 99th year. Velma was the beloved wife of the late Doug Fell. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Stella Ross, her sisters Dorothy (Norm) and Mildred (Mart), her daughter Janice (Rene). Survived by her remaining children, Brian (Isabelle), William (Linda), Joyce (Keith), her grandchildren Alexandra (Tyler), Spencer (Shannon), Emily and Caroline and her two great grandchildren, Finnley and Quinton.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the NBRHC in the ER and AC units and all of the staff at the Empire Living Centre for all of the kindness and great care that Velma received. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Emmanuel United Church.
If you are able please plant bulbs in your garden (tulips, daffodils etc.) that will remind you of Velma every spring. Visitation will be held at the Empire Living Centre from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Saturday September 12th 2026.
