Venture North Bay Pitch designed to strengthen entrepreneurship and investment
A new partnership is being launched to support innovation, entrepreneurship and investment readiness across the region.
Northern Ontario Angels and Innovation Initiatives Ontario North (IION) are working together on Venture North Bay Pitch.
They say it’s designed to help founders build investment-ready companies and connect with accredited investors.

While hosted in North Bay, it’s open to companies located, registered, and operating within the Districts of Nipissing, Timiskaming, Parry Sound, and Muskoka.
“Through our work at Northern Ontario Angels, we’ve seen how mentorship and access to capital can make a real difference for founders,” says Ian Lane, Executive Director of Northern Ontario Angels. “Venture North Bay Pitch brings those elements together, helping companies from across the region build momentum and take meaningful steps toward growth.”
Matt Doherty, Executive Director of IION, says they see incredible companies being built in North Bay and across the district.
“This program helps ensure those founders have the preparation, visibility, and support they need to confidently present their businesses and attract investment,” says Doherty.
A pre-launch information session is taking place on Feb. 24 with a live pitch event Nov. 5.
Applications will open on May 4 and close on June 1, with four companies selected as finalists.
