Voyageur 200 cycling event racing through the area

North Bay’s charity gravel cycling event in support of local cardiac and stroke care is back this weekend.

The Voyageur 200 takes place on Saturday.

Officials say the 30, 60, 100 and 200 km events will challenge riding ability, while showcasing the area’s beautiful scenery.

“Starting and finishing just outside of North Bay, the route takes you cross country, down logging roads, across the mighty Mattawa River and back to North Bay,” states a release.

Specifically, the event is a fundraiser for the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation, and the care of patients with Aphasia.
