WALKER, JOAN
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Marlene Walker (née Loewen), who died peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Loving mother of Greg Johnston and Tracey Connolly (Donnie Nancekivell). Proud Mama Joan of her grandchildren Katie, Joelle, Christina, Cheryl, and T.J. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Alan Walker, and is survived by her partner, John Rowan.
Joan was born on January 1, 1956, in St. Catharines, Ontario, to Peter and Elsie Loewen, who predeceased her. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Janet (Andy), Robert (Marie), and Gary (Margaret), and was predeceased by her sister Joyce (David).
Joan will be deeply missed by her family, extended family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends are invited to gather at St. Brice’s Anglican Church in North Bay on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
