Water Budget on Tap Tonight
Water rates may increase between 29.00 to 46.00 per year for the average home owner using 14 cubic metres a month. Those homeowners with larger families, local businesses and local industry can expect to pay more. The public is welcome to attend.
A public meeting is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Mayor's Boardroom on the 5th Floor of City Hall to discuss the City’s 2024 preliminary water and wastewater operating budget and rates. Additional sessions are planned for Tuesday, Jan. 9, and Wednesday, Jan.10.
The water and wastewater budget ensures the City can deliver sustainable water services, maintain essential infrastructure, and facilitate the operation of the water and wastewater treatment plants.
