Water testing underway

Water testing underway

The Municipality of West Nipissing says an unplanned issue temporarily interrupted operations at the Verner water plant on Sunday, July 27.

Officials say it left households without water service.

They say the issue was resolved within a few hours, however additional water testing is required by the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit before the water can be deemed safe for consumption.

The municipality says the Health Unit is advising residents on the Verner water service to use an alternative safe drinking water source or purchase bottled water until further notice.
