Wayne Sullivan

Wayne, 60, passed away on April 27, 2025, after a brief illness. He is survived by his son Wilson, siblings Colleen and Allan, and his nephew Dillon.  He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins from a large extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Hilda, and Ken, in 2024.

Wayne was a life-long resident of North Bay and a graduate of Canadore College. He was very athletic in his youth, playing numerous sports including football, baseball, and most importantly, hockey.  Wayne was an avid fan of the Oilers and the Red Sox.

A large man who was difficult to miss in a crowd, Wayne had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humour which frequently made him the life of the party. In later years, he enjoyed golfing and traveling. Wayne recently retired after spending several decades working in the purchasing profession, mostly in the mining sector.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on June 6, from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at the Martyn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Wayne’s memory would be gratefully accepted by the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
