West Nipissing resident identified as homicide victim northwest of Gravenhurst

The Bracebridge OPP is reporting a person found dead northwest of Gravenhurst has been identified as a West Nipissing resident, and his death has been ruled a homicide.
The OPP says officers responded shortly after noon on Monday, Sept. 15, to a report of a body discovered in a remote area.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Tyler Penasse of West Nipissing.
A postmortem was conducted last Wednesday (Sept. 17).
Police are urging anyone who was in the areas of Hardy Lake Rd., Torrance, Bala, Wahta and Gravenhurst between last Sunday and Monday, and may have dashcam footage or other information to contact the Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122, referencing occurrence E251257737.
