WestJet flights from North Bay to Calgary start in June
North Bay has been added to WestJet’s expanding domestic network.
New non-stop summer service is being added between Calgary and North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and Campbell River, British Columbia.

Twice weekly flights, aboard a 737 aircraft, to and from North Bay will start June 19.
“We’re thrilled to welcome WestJet to North Bay and to see direct service to Calgary coming to our community,” says Mayor Peter Chirico. “Strong air service is essential to economic development, tourism growth, and the ongoing success of Jack Garland Airport, and this announcement reinforces North Bay’s role as a regional hub and a city open for business.”
Bryan Avery, Jack Garland Airport Manager, also says they’re thrilled to welcome WestJet to North Bay.
“This new route strengthens our role as the gateway for Northern Ontario and offers a more convenient way for residents, businesses, and visitors to connect with destinations across Canada and globally,” he says. “This inaugural service will directly connect North Bay – welcoming tourists and visitors to our amazing community, and also connecting North Bay to industries in Western and Northern Canada with a convenient connection in Calgary.”
WestJet says improving access to WestJet’s global hub in Calgary will connect guests to destinations across the Americas, Europe and Asia, while also offering seamless connectivity for Alberta-based tourists to uncover paths less travelled in British Columbia and Ontario.
“Adding these routes to our summer 2026 schedule reinforces WestJet’s commitment to strengthening regional connectivity and supporting tourism and economic growth across Canada,” says John Weatherill, WestJet Group Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer. “The new routes will give guests from across Canada greater choice to explore their own backyard, as well as more efficient access to onward connections through WestJet’s home province.”
WestJet is also adding non-stop seasonal service between Terrace, B.C. and Edmonton.
