Winter Storm Warning Continues
Environment Canada has extended the Winter Storm Warning as of 5:22 AM EST Wednesday 10 January 2024
Winter storm continuing this morning. Continuing this morning before tapering off this afternoon.
Hazard: Additional 5 cm of snow, poor visibility in areas of heavy snow and blowing snow and hazardous travel conditions.
Locally heavy snow is expected to continue this morning before tapering off this afternoon. Northeast winds gusting up to 60 km/h will result in areas of blowing snow giving poor visibility at times.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.
If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
