A winter storm warning is in effect for the area.

Yesterday night’s freezing rain was accompanied by some overnight snow, with another 10 to 20 cm of snow forecasted for today.

Strong winds are also in the forecast. Environment Canada says travel may be hazardous today with road closures and utility outages possible.

They’re asking everyone to avoid non-essential travel and outdoor activities.
