Woman Arrested Following Robbery at Lakeshore Business

A local woman has been arrested by the North Bay Police Service (NBPS) following a robbery at a local business.
On August 8, 2025, the accused entered a Lakeshore business and attempted to steal goods. When approached by an employee, the accused assaulted them. As she left the premises, she approached a second victim, uttered threats before fleeing the scene. NBPS officers located and arrested the accused nearby, at which time she provided a false identity. Following investigation, police were able to confirm her true identity and carry out three outstanding arrest warrants for her.
The accused, Leanne Dianne Marie Lajoie, 38-year-old, female, of North Bay, has been charged with the following offences:
- Robbery
- Assault
- Obstructing Police
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Two Counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
