Woman with Knife Arrested
One Charged with Assault, Weapons Offences
The North Bay Police Service has arrested and charged a 46-year-old female with assault and weapons offences.
On October 19, 2024, the victim, who is known to the accused, was outside in the parking lot of his residence. Unprovoked, the accused exited her residence, yelling at the victim. The accused then assaulted the victim and went back inside her residence to retrieve a knife. Returning with the knife, the accused approached the victim in a threatening manner. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the incident.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. the same day, the accused was arrested by members of the North Bay Police Service.
The accused in this incident is Sasha Cindy CARRIERE, female, age 46, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- One count of Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- One count of Assault
- One count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Two counts of Carrying concealed weapon
- One count of Assault with a Weapon
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 6 grams of suspected fentanyl
- A hunting knife
- Pepper spray
- Approximately $2,100 in Canadian currency
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $2,000.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
