Almaguin Highlands OPP report a North Bay resident has been charged after a vehicle was caught going 180 km/h on Highway 11.

Police say officers responded to a concerned motorist’s call around 1 pm on Dec. 29 about a northbound vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed.

As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old person from North Bay was charged with stunt driving.

The OPP says the vehicle was impounded for 14 days and the driver’s license was suspended for 30 days.

Police say the accused has a court appearance scheduled for Sundridge at a later date.
