Youth Charged in Incident at Police Station
On May 25th, a youth was at North Bay Police Service headquarters in regards to an unrelated matter and became upset. The youth did damage to a North Bay Police Service cruiser and then assaulted a police officer.
A 17-year-old young person, who cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act is charged with;
· One count of Mischief under $5000
· One count of Assault Peace Officer
On the 25th of May, at around 5:15 am, a 17-year-old youth was at the North Bay Police Service headquarters in regards to an unrelated matter. As the youth was speaking to police, they became upset and walked out the front doors at police headquarters and damaged a marked police cruiser. The youth was subsequently taken into custody, and brought inside police headquarters. While being processed the youth assaulted a police officer.
The youth was later released to their parents with a future court date.
