Yvonne Dufoe (née Morin)
Yvonne Dufoe (née Morin), of North Bay, Ontario passed away peacefully in her sleep at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday April 25, 2025 at the age of 80.
Yvonne will be missed by her children Jennifer (Ryan Weir) and Gordon, along with her beloved granddaughter Kendall, step-grandchildren Abby and Marshall, nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her dear husband of 50 years, Donald Dufoe (2016), her mother Noella Roy (1992), her brother Ronald Ryan (2021), and her dearly loved fur babies, Coco and Mitsy.
Raised in Témiscaming, Québec, Yvonne lived briefly in Mattawa following her marriage to Donald in 1965. Shortly after, they settled in North Bay to raise their family. Yvonne was a well-known figure in her community because of her long career working in retail, spending many years working at Zellers, Kmart, Donut King, and Dollarama, where she was always a friendly and welcoming face. She loved camping, bingo, spoiling her children and granddaughter, and spending time with family. Yvonne was always ready to lend a hand to family and friends, and she selflessly provided her husband with end-of-life care. Her family takes solace knowing that she is now where she has longed to be for many years, reunited with her love, Donald.
Cremation to take place with a private family gathering to spread her ashes.
