Sundridge condemns recent hate-motivated vandalism
Hate has no home in Sundridge.
That from the village after a recent incident involving hateful and discriminatory graffiti found on public property in a municipal park.
Officials say the offensive markings have been removed, but the message behind the vandalism is deeply concerning.

“While one act does not define our community, our response to it does, and we want to be clear that hate has no home in Sundridge,” states a release. “We stand together in promoting respect, inclusion, and kindness for all.”
Officials say Sundridge is a welcoming and inclusive community, adding every resident and visitor deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued when using public spaces.
Mayor and Council ‘strongly condemn’ the act and reaffirm their commitment to fostering a community where everyone feels they belong.
Residents who witness vandalism or suspicious activity in municipal parks or facilities are encouraged to report it to the appropriate authorities.
