“Intimate partner violence is dangerous and complex, and can escalate quickly to potentially life-threatening situations,” said A/Deputy Chief Jeff Warner. “No one should feel afraid or unsafe in their own home and we want victims to know that they are not alone. We are committed to responding to these incidents seriously and holding offenders accountable.”
All parties involved are known to each other. The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim. Given the nature of this occurrence and to ensure the integrity of the court process, there will be no further releases on this matter by the NBPS.
