Yvette Lapointe

In Loving Memory of Yvette Lapointe December 17, 1956 – June 14, 2025
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Yvette Lapointe on June 14, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. After a courageous and extended battle with pulmonary fibrosis (interstitial pneumonitis) , Yvette departed this life in the same way she lived it — with grace, strength, and unwavering love.
Nearly 27 years ago, Yvette was given just two years to live. True to her remarkable spirit, she gifted us 25 precious years that were filled with laughter, stories, and her boundless affection. Her resilience was a testament to her will, her hope, and the immense love she had for life and the people in it.
Yvette leaves behind her devoted husband of 49 years, Phillippe Lapointe. Their love was a lifelong partnership rooted in deep friendship and enduring affection. She was a proud and devoted mother to her son, Mario, and her daughter, Lorraine, each of whom she shared a unique and cherished bond with. Mario’s accomplishments brought her deep pride, while Lorraine, her best friend, brought constant companionship, joy and laughter. She also shared a close and loving relationship with Lorraine’s husband, Saleem, whose warmth and love enriched her daily life.
Yvette is also survived by her loving brother Bruce Marsales and his wife Angie, and by her brother Chris Marsales and his wife Lizette. She now joins her dear, late brothers Nick and Jason Marsales in eternal peace. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her as a guiding light — warm, fierce, and always loving.
Yvette loved with her whole heart. Her passion for her family, her generous spirit, and her infectious joy touched everyone she met. She had an extraordinary way of making each person feel special, seen, and loved. Her absence leaves a deep void, but her love will echo in the lives she shaped and the memories she leaves behind.
A celebration of Yvette’s life will be held in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a pulmonary fibrosis foundation in her name, to help others facing the same brave journey she walked so gracefully.
She was our heart. And she always will be.
